A lace open lattice design shawl with beautiful end points and lace border. This design was inspired Spiral Shawl in A Gathering of Lace by Meg Swanson. Meg’s gorgeous design was for a large circular shawl, I loved the combination of the linear ladder pattern ad lace border but didn’t want a circular shals. Keeping the two lace patterns I created a long linear shawl design. Using large needles to create a very open design which opens out quite large but also can be pulled quite thin and worn as a long lacey scarf. I used a commercial yarn for this (one skein of MadelineTosh Prairie in Ink) which is a slightly heavy yarn with a lovely drape to it.
