Dyed with Weld Reseda luteola.
Dyed in the workshop from plants grown and sourced in my neighbourhood. This particular shade is dyed with Weld, our traditional source of yellow pigment, grown in my allotment. Although many plants give a yellow, Weld is said to be the most light fast. It was one of the main sources of yellow dye used by Norwich medieval wool dyers.
Buttery sunshine yellow.
Like all natural dyes, these colours are fast but will change and mature over time.
