Spinzilla 2015 is go

Spinzilla 2015 is now live and registering teams and rogues.  And for the first time the UK is fielding a team: Team HSN UK.  I’ve been lucky enough (hmm might regret that lucky statement in actual reality) to get in the team.  Hats of to the fabulous Sheila Dixon (Hand Spinning News) for firstly mooting the idea of a UK team and secondly for taking the lead and organising the Team.

Whats Spinzilla you gasp breathy with anticipation? Spinzilla is an international spinning event where competing teams and individuals challenge each other to see who can spin the most yarn in a week (October 5 -11 2015). The competition aims to motivate spinners to ‘learn new skills, take risks, and spin their hearts out. It is also a fundraiser for the NeedleArts Mentoring Program (NAMP).  NAMP connects adult mentors with school age children to teach the needle arts—spinning, weaving, knitting, crochet, and stitching’.

Go Team HSN UK!
